About me and my therapy practice
Íø±¬ÃÅ
Hi, I’m Gordon, a counsellor with NHS experience in mental health, neurological care, and staff wellbeing. I supported people through major life transitions starting new roles, recovering from illness and/or injury, managing burnout, or caring for others.
My approach is grounded, adaptable, and deeply compassionate. Together, we’ll create a space where you can explore how life is affecting you and what you need to move forward.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, burnout, grief, life changes, and identity shifts. I also support those facing workplace challenges or navigating neurodivergent experiences, including autism and ADHD.
You may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply not quite yourself. Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to hold it all together or explain everything just come as you are.
Practice description

A Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach
I value the uniqueness each person brings. Autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent traits these aren’t things to be “fixed” but understood.
Whether you’re diagnosed or exploring your identity, our sessions offer a calm, supportive space to process masking, burnout, or just be yourself.
A Safe Space for Difficult Feelings
Some experiences carry pain or shame that’s hard to voice. I offer a space where nothing is too much, too messy, or too broken to explore. You’re welcome just as you are.
My Background
My NHS work spans mental health, independent living, and neurological care. I’ve also supported young people with attachment difficulties and now work in staff wellbeing and professional development. I understand how heavy life can feel and you don’t have to carry it alone.
I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can talk openly, feel heard, and explore whatever’s going on for you.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling with a Pluralistic-Informed Practice, which means the work we do together will be shaped around your individual needs, preferences, and goals.
While the foundation of my approach is person-centred, offering empathy, respect, and genuine understanding, I also draw from pluralistic training and therapeutic method.
