I am flexible in my approach to providing counselling sessions. I will not insist on a weekly session at a specific time or impose a limit on the number of sessions you must attend.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified person-centred integrative counsellor based in Neath.
I have lived experience of neurodiversity (ADHD and Autism).
I believe in the importance of the relationship formed between us, and that the acceptance and genuineness on both sides help create a healthy space for growth.
I provide a non-judgemental, non-directive, confidential service. I believe that you, as the client, hold the answers to your difficulties, and that as your therapist, I will provide a safe space to discuss your thoughts, feelings, and emotions, with the aim of gaining insight and understanding, so that you can live a happier and more authentic life. This is done at your own pace, with no expectations.
Practice description
Life can often feel overwhelming, stressful, and exhausting due to the constant demands of work, relationships, and daily responsibilities. It’s easy to put others first and neglect our own needs. But our health and well-being deserve attention too.
Navigating life transitions i.e Becoming a parent, Divorce, Menopause, Empty Nest, Retirement and Redundancy can be daunting, but with support it can be an adventurous journey.
I am here to listen and be alongside you as you navigate your journey and explore your internal world, supporting you in finding your own solutions to difficult situations or challenges, and also equipping you with the ability to continue this process once therapy has ended.
I work privately within a clinic setting, offering online and telephone sessions throughout the UK.
Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor can feel daunting, but it is essential to find the right fit for you and your needs. Our first session is to provide you with a safe, secure and confidential space so that you are able to start exploring what you would want from therapy. This gives you the opportunity to meet with me and decide if I am the right counsellor for you, as the counselling relationship is a vital part of the therapeutic process.
