About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel overwhelming at times. You might be navigating anxiety, health challenges, relationship issues, trauma, loss, identity questions, or a deeper sense of meaninglessness or disconnection. Perhaps you're feeling stuck or in the midst of a life transition, longing for change. Whatever brings you here, I offer a warm, grounded, and non-judgemental space where we can explore your experience together, at your pace.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship – a space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported to explore whatever is arising for you. I offer a warm, collaborative presence, meeting you with openness, curiosity, and respect.
Practice description
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of approaches – including existential, humanistic, and relational perspectives – to support you in making sense of your experience. My work is also shaped by my time supporting individuals in acute distress within a mental health crisis charity, which deepened my capacity to sit with pain, uncertainty, and complexity.
Alongside my counselling practice, I have trained and practised in eco-therapeutic and somatic approaches that honour the wisdom of the body and our relationship with the natural world. I’m interested in how experiences are held not just in the mind but in the body, and how gentle, embodied attention can support healing and integration.
I offer both indoor and outdoor sessions – including walk-and-talk therapy – where nature can gently support the unfolding of the work and provide a different kind of holding.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute telephone call before we begin working together. This is an opportunity for you to share a little about what’s bringing you to counselling, and for me to explain how I work. We can explore what you need from therapy, and see whether my approach, training, and experience feel like a good fit for you.
There’s no charge for this initial call, and there’s no obligation to continue – it’s simply a chance for us both to decide if working together feels right.
