I offer in-person sessions from a warm and welcoming private therapy space in a quiet rural setting close to Newbury, Hungerford, and Wantage. If you prefer, I am happy to meet with you online. I work flexibly, offering both open ended and time limited counselling to people over the age of 18, at a time to suit you.
About me and my therapy practice
There are times when life feels overwhelming. Perhaps something specific has happened, or maybe you are not sure why you feel sad, anxious, or low. You might be seeking change, or wanting to understand yourself better. At times like these, talking to someone who will listen in a non-judgemental and supportive way can be really helpful. Together, we can explore what has brought you to therapy and begin to make sense of how you are feeling.
I am approachable, warm, and reliable, and I aim to build empathetic and non-judgemental relationships within a gentle, discreet, and safe environment. Working together, I can support you in exploring your emotional difficulties and help you to gain a better understanding of what may be preventing you from feeling content and reaching your full potential.
I am trained and qualified in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4 Dip - CPCAB). As an integrative counsellor, I use different approaches and counselling techniques, adjusting how we work together to best help you. As a member of Íø±¬ÃÅ I work within their ethical framework and professional guidelines. I am also committed to ongoing professional development which helps to inform and guide my practice.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer with a charitable counselling service and have experience supporting people with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, self-harm, ADHD, neurodiversity, grief and loss.
Practice description
I offer sessions from a warm and welcoming private therapy space in a quiet rural setting close to Newbury, Hungerford, and Wantage. Off-street parking is available.
My approach is flexible, offering both open ended and time limited counselling to individuals aged 18 and above, either in person or online.
My first session
Looking for a therapist can feel daunting, and finding the right person for you is important. I offer a free 20-minute introductory call to discuss what you are looking for. If you decide you would like to work with me, we will then arrange an initial session, either online or in person. This first session is exploratory - a chance for me to learn more about your needs and hopes for therapy, and for you to get a sense of how I work. If you feel I am the right therapist for you, we can then move to regular sessions, usually once a week for 60 minutes.
