About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Lucy.

I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and reaching out for support is not always easy. I work with people facing many different challenges, including relationship difficulties, workplace stress, addictions, anxiety and depression. I also have a particular interest in supporting those who are grieving, recognising that each person’s journey through loss is deeply individual.

As an integrative therapist, I bring together a range of approaches, with a focus on psychodynamic and humanistic therapy. This allows us to shape our sessions in a way that feels natural and meaningful for you. Sometimes we might explore how past experiences continue to affect you today; at other times we may look more closely at what is happening in your life right now, and the changes that could help you feel calmer, stronger and more at ease.

Above all, my aim is to offer a safe and compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore what matters most to you.

Practice description

I offer therapy in a calm and welcoming setting, either in my garden room or online. My style is warm and down to earth, and I work in a genuine, empathetic and non-judgemental way.

Together we can explore the difficulties you are facing, reflect on where they may come from, and recognise the patterns that may be holding you back. My focus is on helping you feel heard, supported and more confident, while also finding practical ways to feel calmer and more in control.

Reaching out for therapy takes courage, and if you feel ready, I am here to support you as you take those first steps towards change.

My first session

Our first 30-minute conversation is free and gives you the chance to see whether you feel comfortable working with me. During this time, I will ask some questions about your background, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain. This also helps me consider whether I am the right person to support you.

If you decide you would like to continue, we can arrange your first session together.
