About me and my therapy practice

As a counsellor with a master's degree in Applied Neuroscience and a graduate member of the British Psychology Society and British Neuroscience Association, I am deeply passionate about helping people overcome anxiety.

With an understanding of the brain's workings and their impact on emotional well-being, I approach anxiety from a scientific, empathetic, and person-centred perspective. I offer evidence-based strategies tailored to your unique needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your feelings, develop effective coping mechanisms, and achieve a sense of calm and resilience. Seeing the positive changes in my clients' lives is what drives me every day.

Neuroscience is at the heart of my practice, providing insights into all aspects of anxiety and neurodivergence. By understanding how neural circuits, neurotransmitters, and brain regions like the amygdala and prefrontal cortex contribute to anxiety, I can share research-based techniques that promote neuroplasticity and help you rewire your brain to reduce anxiety responses. Additionally, my knowledge of the stress response system allows me to teach effective coping strategies that regulate physiological reactions. This scientific foundation enables me to offer personalized, evidence-based therapy that addresses both the mind and body, fostering holistic healing and resilience.

Person-centred counselling complements my neuroscience-informed approach by emphasizing empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine understanding in our therapeutic relationship. This approach creates a safe and non-judgmental space where you feel valued and heard, which is crucial for addressing anxiety.

Practice description

In each session, you’ll experience a blend of compassionate, person-centred counselling and neuroscience-informed insight. We’ll work together to explore your unique challenges—whether that’s anxiety, burnout, or navigating neurodivergence—while gently reframing the patterns that keep you stuck. Expect a safe, non-judgmental space, practical tools to support emotional regulation, and guidance tailored to how your brain processes the world.

Think of it as a calm, collaborative space where we gently explore what’s going on beneath the surface and together, we’ll build practical strategies to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control.

My first session

It’s natural to wonder if I am a good fit for you —and often the answer starts with a feeling. If you’re looking for someone warm, grounded, and genuinely curious about how your brain works, we might be a good match. I blend neuroscience with person-centred care, and I offer a free 15-minute call so you can see how it feels to work together. You’ll be met with compassion, not pressure—and supported at your own pace.
