About me and my therapy practice
If you're struggling with anxiety or depression at the moment then you've come to the right place!
I provide professional counselling for individual adults, with a particular focus on anxiety and depression, in my private practice in Ashtead, Surrey. I also see clients privately in Horsham, West Sussex, alongside my work with Horsham and Crawley Counselling Group (HCCG)
I am a fully qualified, insured and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ) - the professional association for members of the counselling professions in the UK - and I adhere to the Íø±¬ÃÅ's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
At the heart of my work is the belief that our earliest relationships shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. I help clients explore patterns of closeness, trust, and security that may influence their current relationships, emotions, and sense of self.
My style is warm, compassionate and down to earth. I provide a space where you can reflect deeply, process challenges, and feel empowered to grow. Whether you are struggling with relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, or a desire for greater self-understanding, I will meet you with curiosity and care as we explore your unique story.
Practice description
I offer one-to-one therapy for adults both online and in person in Ashtead, Surrey, as well as in Horsham, West Sussex. Sessions are available on a weekly basis, and I work with clients on either a short-term or long-term basis, depending on your needs and goals.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, I provide a supportive and collaborative space where you can begin to make sense of what’s going on and move toward meaningful change.
My first session
The first step would be for us to have an initial 30-minute phone/video call for you to decide if I offer the right kind of therapy for you. If you feel that we might be a good fit we can then arrange a time for an initial consultation.
The quality of the relationship between client and therapist is incredibly important, and our first meeting will give us a chance to not only discuss what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life but also allow us to form a sense of whether we can work well together.
During the first session, we would look to discuss the contract that outlines the boundaries of our working relationship, covering areas such as client confidentiality, session payment and cancellation policy.
There is absolutely no obligation to commit to further therapy sessions after the first session. If you feel you would like to continue your therapy with me, we can then discuss a suitable day and time which will become your regular weekly appointment.
