About me and my therapy practice
You are the expert on your own life - I respect who you are and where you come from. And so, I will never tell you what to do but help you to see yourself in new ways.
We will have an open conversation to which you can bring whatever seems important. And we’ll hold it in a welcoming, confidential arena where you can talk with complete freedom and honesty.
Together, we'll find out what's going on beneath the surface and explore the deeper currents that bring you discomfort.
I work with adults of all ages. I provide both short-term focused work and longer-term explorative therapy.
My approach is pluralistic, drawing on Gestalt, Person-Centred and Existential schools of therapy to help you untangle the emotional patterns that may be holding you back.
From our dialogue will emerge a new understanding of your problems; this in turn enables you to reframe your story and formulate a way forward.
Practice description
I work with clients aged 18 or over from all backgrounds and regardless of race, culture, gender or orientation. I offer a calm, mature and intelligent dialogue, as I am genuinely curious about your pain and eager to encourage your potential.
My aim is to help you to come to terms with the world, and move towards self-acceptance, healing and happiness.
We can do this over just a few sessions or over the longer term.
Sessions are available online via secure video link or in person at my practice in Oxford.
I maintain full professional insurance and receive regular clinical supervision as required by Íø±¬ÃÅ standards.
My fees reflect the value of an experienced, qualified practitioner while remaining accessible.
My first session
I suggest that you contact me to book a free initial video consultation (15 minutes), which will give us a chance to discuss your needs and see if we’re a good match. You'll get a sense of my approach before committing to ongoing work.
Ahead of our first meeting I will ask you to complete a short form and to read our counselling agreement. The first 15 minutes or so of our first session will deal with this, any questions you may have and some other basic admin, such as payment options and cancellation policy.
Then our conversation will begin. It might last a few weeks, or continue for years.
