Availability
I work Monday to Thursday, usually between 10am and 5pm. I don鈥檛 offer sessions on Fridays or weekends. Evening sessions are extremely limited and currently have a waiting list; if that鈥檚 something you鈥檙e hoping for, feel free to mention it during the consultation.
About me and my therapy practice
I鈥檓 a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming psychotherapist working with adults online and in-person in Manchester. I work integratively, blending person-centred, relational and somatic approaches with Internal Family Systems-informed parts work and compassion-based therapy.
Many of the people I work with feel like they鈥檝e always been both "too much" and "not enough". You might have become highly functional at surviving - at reading the room, regulating yourself, coping on the surface - while inside, feeling stuck, burnt out, or unseen.
Therapy with me isn鈥檛 about fixing or managing you. It鈥檚 about creating space for the parts of you that learned to disappear to come back into the room. I support clients with complex trauma, relationship issues, late-identified ADHD and autism, identity shifts, and quiet griefs that don鈥檛 always get named.
I鈥檒l meet you with depth, curiosity, and care - but not from behind a blank slate. I鈥檓 here with you, not above you. My practice is grounded in lived experience, integrity, inclusivity, and a belief in therapy that sees the whole person.
I work best with clients who are ready to go gently into the deeper layers, whether you鈥檙e navigating diagnosis, relationships, burnout, family dynamics, or simply asking: "who am I underneath all of this?"
Sessions are available weekly, fortnightly or monthly, with flexibility to pause or adjust over time. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on what you need.
Practice description
Therapy with me is a space to unmask, exhale, and be met - without needing to pretend, make sense of things too quickly, or stay in survival mode.
You don鈥檛 need to be 鈥渞eady鈥 or have it all figured out to begin. Clients often arrive carrying quiet grief, exhaustion, or the weight of years spent adapting to other people. Whether you鈥檙e burnt out, numb, holding too much, or unsure who you are beneath the coping - we鈥檒l move at your pace.
My style is warm, grounded, and gently curious. I bring a relational presence to each session, attuning to what鈥檚 said and unsaid - the parts of you that might feel too much, too quiet, or too complex elsewhere.
Sessions might include metaphor, movement, creative reflection, or even sitting on the floor if that鈥檚 what helps you feel safe. We鈥檒l follow what feels right for your body, your pace, and your way of processing.
I integrate somatic awareness and parts work where helpful, especially when exploring nervous system overwhelm, attachment wounds, or internal conflict. This means we might gently notice how emotions show up in your body, or explore the different 鈥榩arts鈥 of you that hold conflicting needs, fears, or roles.
While we'll explore your past, we鈥檒l also stay close to what鈥檚 happening now: how you feel in your body, what beliefs are looping beneath the surface, where your system feels stuck.
You can expect a welcoming space where you don鈥檛 have to simplify or over-explain who you are. I work with care around things like class, disability, religion, culture, sexuality, neurodivergence, gender, and family dynamics - especially if you鈥檝e felt misunderstood or unsupported in other services.
My practice is inclusive and shaped around you. It鈥檚 not about managing symptoms - it鈥檚 about finding your way back to yourself, in your own time.
My first session
Before booking a full session, I offer a free 15鈥20 minute Zoom call so we can briefly meet and see if we feel like a good fit. You鈥檙e welcome to briefly share what鈥檚 bringing you to therapy, ask questions, or just get a sense of how I work.
I鈥檒l ask a little about any previous therapy experiences you鈥檝e had - what helped, what didn鈥檛, and what you鈥檙e hoping might feel different this time. We鈥檒l gently explore what鈥檚 feeling difficult right now, and I鈥檒l be paying attention to the emotional themes, stuck places, and survival strategies that might be shaping your experience.
Some clients come with clear goals; others just know something doesn鈥檛 feel right. Both are completely welcome. You won鈥檛 be asked to complete any diagnostic forms or worksheets. I may ask a few practical questions, but mostly I鈥檒l be listening carefully and relationally - and you鈥檒l get a feel for what it鈥檚 like to be in the room with me.
There鈥檚 no pressure to decide to book a session straight after the consultation. You鈥檙e welcome to take your time - days, weeks, or longer. If and when you鈥檙e ready, you can get back in touch. I鈥檒l still be here.
If you do decide to go ahead, we'll arrange a first full session (60 or 75 minutes), which is a starting point - not a formal assessment.There鈥檚 no pressure to share everything at once or explain things perfectly. You鈥檙e welcome to arrive however you are - anxious, unsure, overwhelmed or full of thoughts or feelings you鈥檝e been holding in.
Before this, I鈥檒l guide you through a simple onboarding process. There are a few short forms - some essential, some optional - and I鈥檒l walk you through each step so nothing feels overwhelming.
You鈥檙e always free to pause or end therapy at any point. I often suggest starting with three sessions if you can - sometimes vulnerability can feel unsettling at first, and those first few sessions help us build trust and begin the work.
