About me and my therapy practice
I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can bring whatever you’re holding — even if you’re not sure how to put it into words. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and curiosity. We work at your pace, exploring what matters most to you.
I draw on Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Existential therapies. This means I focus on the quality of our relationship, staying present with you and your unique experience, and supporting you to make sense of life in a way that feels true to you. I won't give you advice or try to fix you — because I don't believe you're broken. Instead, I aim to help you reconnect with parts of yourself that may feel silenced, dismissed or forgotten.
You might come to therapy feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or at a turning point. Perhaps you're navigating loss or change, or struggling in some area of your life. Together, we can explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and what might need care, compassion, or attention.
My work is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and weight-inclusive. I welcome all parts of you — including those that may feel messy, ashamed, scared or unsure. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come. You just need to start where you are.
Practice description
I offer 50-minute sessions, usually weekly, either online or in person in Uckfield, East Sussex. Sessions are client-led, which means you set the pace and bring what feels most important to you. There’s no pressure to have a clear agenda — you’re welcome just as you are.
Therapy with me is a warm, compassionate process where we can explore what’s going on for you in a safe and supportive space. It might be something specific — like grief, anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, relationship difficulties, or a life transition — or it might be a general sense that something’s not right. Together, we can gently get to know the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that are shaping your experience, and open up new ways of being with yourself and the world.
You might find it helpful to talk, to pause and reflect, to notice what’s happening in the moment, or to explore different perspectives. There’s no right way to be here — just your way.
I work with adults and offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on what feels right for you. My practice is inclusive and affirming of all identities and neurotypes, and is grounded in respect for your autonomy and lived experience.
If you're unsure whether therapy with me is the right fit, I offer a free initial conversation where we can talk through any questions or concerns.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so we can get a sense of whether working together feels right. This isn’t a therapy session — just a chance to meet, ask questions, and talk through what you're looking for.
If you decide to go ahead, our first full session (50 minutes, at the usual rate) will focus on laying the groundwork for our work together. We’ll talk through the practicalities — including my terms and conditions, confidentiality, and how we’ll approach the therapy process. There’ll be space to explore what’s brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to get out of it, and anything you think would be helpful for me to know about your current circumstances, history, or support systems.
I may ask gently about any past or present mental health challenges, but there’s no formal assessment or checklist. The session is a space for you to begin to share your story — in your own time and in your own words.
There’s no pressure to commit beyond this first session. It’s a chance for us both to get a feel for whether the relationship feels like a good fit.
