About me and my therapy practice
Hi, and welcome! I’m Deborah, and I’m so pleased you’re here. Deciding to explore counseling is a big step, and it shows how much you value your well-being. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just need someone to talk to, I want you to know that this is a space where you’ll feel supported and understood.
My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, offering guidance, empathy, and a safe environment to explore what matters most to you. Let’s take the first step together—because you don’t have to face this alone.
I integrate evidence-based approaches to ensure our work together is impactful and practical. Depending on your needs, we may explore strategies such as:
Cognitive techniques to reframe unhelpful thought patterns.
Relaxation or mindfulness exercises to reduce stress.
Communication strategies to enhance relationships.
Actionable steps to build confidence and self-efficacy.
These tools are designed not just for the session but to empower you in your daily life.
Practice description
Taking the first step toward seeking support can feel overwhelming, but knowing what to expect can help ease any uncertainty.
At Counsel Care Therapy, my priority is to ensure you feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout your journey. Here’s an in-depth look at what happens during a session:
Before your session, you’ll have the opportunity to share some information about yourself through a short intake form (if applicable). This helps me understand your background, current concerns, and what you’re hoping to achieve. Don’t worry if you’re unsure of your goals—that’s something we can explore together.
I understand its not always easy to discuss what has brought you here. With gentle encouragement you can safely share your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace—there’s no rush or pressure. My role is to listen attentively, ask insightful questions, and help you uncover deeper insights about your situation.
Together, we’ll identify patterns or recurring challenges that may be impacting your well-being. This might involve exploring thought processes, emotional responses, or behavioral tendencies. From there, we’ll clarify your goals, whether they involve resolving specific issues, improving relationships, or building resilience.
Each session is part of a larger journey toward growth and healing. We’ll discuss what’s next and adapt our approach based on how you’re feeling and what you need. Whether you’re looking for short-term guidance or long-term support, I’ll be by your side every step of the way.
