About me and my therapy practice

Therapy in Bristol & Online 鈥 A Space to Be Seen, Heard & Understood

Hello, I鈥檓 Trisha. I鈥檓 an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist based in Bristol. I work with adults both in person and online, offering a warm, relational space to explore whatever feels difficult, stuck, or overwhelming.

Whether you鈥檙e living with anxiety, low self-esteem, burnout, or a more general sense of disconnection, we can slow down, make sense of your experience, and begin to gently reconnect with you.

Being neurodivergent myself, I have a deep interest in supporting others who鈥檝e spent years masking, adapting, or feeling they had to shrink themselves to fit in. I understand how hard it can be to ask for support 鈥 especially if you鈥檝e learned to cope by hiding parts of yourself or putting others first. Therapy with me isn鈥檛 about fixing what鈥檚 鈥渨rong,鈥 but about compassionately understanding what鈥檚 felt like too much, too painful, or too hidden to face alone.

As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to you, rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. My work integrates relational, existential, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and CBT-informed ways of working. Thus my style is flexible and collaborative, shaped by what feels most helpful and meaningful for you.

You can choose to work with me in a traditional therapy room, online, or outdoors through walk-and-talk therapy, including nature-based approaches. Together we鈥檒l find a way of working that feels right for you, moving at your pace with care and curiosity toward greater connection, clarity, and self-acceptance.

Practice description

From September, I鈥檒l have availability on Tuesdays (online), Wednesdays (in-office), and Thursdays (in-office or walk-and-talk sessions). My in-person sessions take place in a private, comfortable therapy room in central Bristol. Walk-and-talk sessions are held in local green spaces, and I鈥檒l always work collaboratively with you to find what feels most supportive and accessible.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly. I offer both open-ended and time-limited therapy, depending on your needs, and I鈥檓 happy to discuss what feels most appropriate as we go. Some clients come to therapy with a clear focus; others are not sure where to start. Both are welcome.

My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent-aware, and inclusive of difference. I aim to offer a space where you can bring your full self 鈥 including parts that may have felt silenced, masked, or misunderstood elsewhere.

My first session

Before beginning therapy, I offer a free 30-minute phone call so we can talk about what brings you to counselling and what you're hoping for. It's a chance for us both to get a sense of whether we might be a good fit, and there's no pressure to commit beyond this call.

During the conversation, you鈥檙e welcome to ask any questions about how I work or what to expect. I may ask a few gentle questions about what鈥檚 led you to seek support at this time, and what kind of therapy setting (online, in-person, walk-and-talk) feels most comfortable for you.

If we decide to go ahead, we鈥檒l find a regular weekly slot and I鈥檒l send over my therapy agreement and intake form before our first full session. This gives you time to read through everything, reflect, and bring anything you'd like to talk about into the space.

I know reaching out can feel daunting, especially if this is your first time in therapy, so I aim to make the process as open and supportive as possible, right from the first contact.
