About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Carolann and I am a qualified integrative and relational psychotherapist, which means I use a range of therapies when I work with you.
Life brings challenges to all of us from time to time and I care deeply about making you feel empowered to understand and work through the problems you are facing with the right support.
I believe everyone is unique and therefore you deserve individualised therapy, tailored to meet your specific needs.
My practice includes collaborative work with individuals and also couples' therapy.
I am trained in person-centred, CBT and psychodynamic approaches.
I also have training and experience in complex post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, suicide, bereavement and loss, depression, low self esteem and relationship difficulties.
My qualifications include a first class Honours degree in psychology, a certificate in COSCA counselling skills and a Diploma in Relational Therapy. I am a member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ.
Practice description
I currently divide my time between Bloom Therapy, which is my private practice, couples therapy in Glasgow and trauma therapy in Perth.
My private practice is located in a quiet area of Dennistoun, to the east of Glasgow and easily accessible from either Duke Street or Alexandra Parade train stations. There is ample parking on the street outside for those who drive.
On request, I can offer private practice sessions in my consulting room in Perth.
I also offer online therapy for those who feel this is more convenient for their needs.
My first session
I offer a free online introductory session to all clients. This usually lasts around 15 minutes and is an opportunity for me to hear more of what you are looking for from therapy. I can also share more about me and the way I work and let you see whether you feel comfortable with me.
Our relationship will be one of the key elements to good therapy and so it is really important that you feel that the way I am and how I work, works for you too.
If you are looking for couples' therapy, both people will need to come along to this initial session.
