About me and my therapy practice

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile,

My name is Leanna and I am Integrative Relational Counsellor

I work with adults who may be grappling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, low self-esteem, or a sense of feeling stuck.

I didn’t always know I’d become a therapist.

But I’ve always been tuned into connection. The way people reach for each other. The way we pull away. The way some of us have learned to be everything for everyone, while quietly longing to be seen ourselves.

Growing up, I noticed how often depression, anxiety and emotions went unnamed—especially in Black communities.

I became a relational therapist because I believe healing happens in relationship. In the space between you and someone who can hold your story with care—not fix you, but be with you.

Therapy isn’t just about insight. It’s about repair. Re-learning that you can be seen, heard, and not abandoned. That your emotions have space. That you have space.

This work is sacred to me.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be held in that kind of space—you’re not alone

I will work with you to explore the root cause of your issues and to help you to develop self awareness of who you are. Together we will work to understand your experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

At the heart of our work is the therapeutic relationship: a safe and trusting space where healing can take place through true authentic connection.

Whether you are coming to therapy for the first time or returning after a break, I welcome you as you are. I believe that lasting change happens not just through techniques, but through meaningful, authentic human connection.

Please feel free to reach out for further information and to arrange a free 15 min introductory telephone call.

Warm regards

Leanna
