About me and my therapy practice
Hello
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile,
My name is Leanna and I am Integrative Relational Counsellor
I work with adults who may be grappling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, low self-esteem, or a sense of feeling stuck.
My integrative relational approach allows me to draw from a range of therapeutic models – including person-centred and psychodynamic – to tailor the therapy to each client's unique needs.
I believe as we do not live on this planet alone psychological issues occur in the context of relationships. From early childhood we develop patterns of relating and understanding the world which go on to impact the present. I will work with you to explore the root cause of your issues and to help you to develop self awareness of who you are in your relationships weather at work, family, friendships including the relationship you have with yourself. Together we will work to understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviour and make sense of your experiences.
At the heart of our work is the therapeutic relationship: a safe and trusting space where healing can take place through true authentic connection. Whether you’re coming to therapy for the first time or returning after a break, I welcome you as you are. I believe lasting change happens not just through techniques, but through meaningful, human connection.
Please feel free to reach out for further information and to arrange a free 15 min introductory telephone call.
Warm regards
Leanna
