About me and my therapy practice

Life鈥檚 challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, affecting our emotional well-being, physical health, relationships, and sense of purpose. Issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addictions, eating difficulties, phobias, or persistent anger can leave us feeling stuck and disconnected from ourselves and others. Struggles at work, in education, or within relationships can foster feelings of inadequacy or failure. Life events such as illness, loss, financial hardship, or sudden change can shake our foundations, making it difficult to find a way forward.

You may also be dealing with long-standing emotional pain 鈥 perhaps related to identity, past trauma, bullying, or a loss of direction 鈥 or simply feel exhausted by the constant pressure to 鈥渃ope鈥 when things feel anything but manageable.

The good news is that change is possible. You don鈥檛 have to face these challenges alone. With the right support, it is possible to develop greater self-understanding, reduce emotional distress, and move toward a life that feels more connected, balanced, and fulfilling. Goals like healing from the past, improving relationships, building self-worth, and finding peace of mind can be realised 鈥 often through the steady, reflective work of therapy.

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and have over 20 years of experience supporting people of all ages and backgrounds. I offer individual therapy tailored to your unique needs and circumstances, with a deep respect for your personal story. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and compassionate.

Our sessions take place in a confidential, non-judgmental space, where you are free to speak openly and honestly at your own pace. Together, we can begin to explore the patterns, relationships, and life experiences that may be influencing your present difficulties 鈥 and begin the process of moving toward greater emotional clarity, resilience, and self-acceptance.

Practice description

I offer a warm, reflective, and non-judgmental space for those navigating the emotional complexities of today鈥檚 world. Whether you're facing anxiety, low mood, relationship struggles, or a more diffuse sense of feeling stuck or overwhelmed, therapy can offer a place to slow down and begin making sense of what鈥檚 happening beneath the surface.

I鈥檓 especially attuned to the unique pressures faced by individuals from whether related to race, culture, gender identity, sexuality, disability, class, or other aspects of identity. These lived experiences can often lead to feelings of isolation, invisibility, or not quite belonging, and I strive to offer a space where all parts of you are welcome and held with care.

Therapy with me is a collaborative and relational process. Drawing on a psychodynamic approach, we鈥檒l explore the deeper emotional patterns, unconscious processes, and past experiences that may be shaping how you see yourself and relate to others today. Over time, this work can support greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of inner clarity and confidence.

I offer weekly sessions online or via telephone, with some flexibility to accommodate early morning or evening appointments if needed. I鈥檓 a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (网爆门), and I work in accordance with their ethical framework, which means I am committed to professional integrity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.

If you're considering therapy and wondering whether we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out for an initial consultation. This is a chance to talk informally, ask any questions, and see how the space feels for you.

My first session

Beginning therapy is a significant step, and our first session is an important starting point. It鈥檚 a space for us to begin getting to know each other and to start exploring what has brought you to therapy 鈥 whether that's a specific issue you're facing, a more general sense of unease, or a desire to better understand recurring patterns in your thoughts, relationships, or emotional life.

In the first session, we鈥檒l talk about your hopes for therapy, any particular goals you might have, and how you experience yourself in the world. You鈥檙e free to share as much or as little as feels right. There鈥檚 no expectation to have it all figured out 鈥 many people come to therapy unsure of where to begin, and that鈥檚 perfectly okay.

To help you decide whether working together feels like a good fit, I offer a free 20-minute consultation 鈥 either online or by telephone. This gives you a chance to get a sense of me, ask questions, and begin to reflect on what you鈥檙e looking for in therapy. If, after that, you feel ready to book an initial session, we can arrange a time that suits you. We'll also cover some of the practicalities that support a safe therapeutic space: confidentiality, session frequency, cancellations, and how I hold the therapeutic frame. I鈥檒l explain how I work and answer any questions you may have about the process.

The first session is the beginning of a process of reflection, curiosity, and connection. My aim is to create a relationship where you feel heard, respected, and supported 鈥 a space where genuine insight and change can begin to unfold over time.
