About me and my therapy practice
As a registered counsellor with the 网爆门 and a trainee psychotherapist with UKCP, I draw from a rich foundation of integrative training, grounded in phenomenological, somatic, and emotion-focused approaches. My work is informed by humanistic, psychodynamic, and Gestalt principles, allowing me to tailor therapy to meet your individual needs鈥攚hether you're navigating anxiety, healing from past experiences, or seeking greater self-awareness and wellbeing.
Alongside one-to-one counselling or psychotherapy鈥攚hether short-term or open-ended鈥擨 also offer compassion-focused psychoeducation courses designed to deepen self-understanding and emotional resilience. With over 10 years鈥 experience in developing social and emotional education, I bring practical skills into the therapeutic space, such as self-regulation tools and insight into our inner emotional landscape.
As a certified Cognitively Based Compassion Training (CBCT) facilitator and longtime meditation teacher, I integrate mindfulness, psychoeducation, and compassion-based practices into our work where appropriate. I also work closely with a trusted network offering complementary services like Yoga, Reiki, and Mindfulness, which may be introduced to further support your therapeutic journey.
My role is to provide a safe, collaborative space where you can explore, grow, and reconnect with your potential. I look forward to walking alongside you on this meaningful path.
Practice description
I work with Adults (18 years old +) in practices in Eynsham, West Oxfordshire and as part of a group pratice in Centre (https://www.centre-oxfordshire.co.uk/), Deddington, North Oxfordshire. I also work online with individuals.
I provide integrative counselling and psychotherapy which means I draw on a number of therapeutic approaches in my work (Gestalt, Person Centered, CBT, psychodynamic) to best support those I am working with. I am particularly interested in how our thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences are interconnected. I aim to create a warm, supportive space where clients can explore anxiety, stress, changes in life, relationship challenges, or simply a desire for deeper self-understanding.
I have experience working with clients facing personal challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationships, ASD diagnosis, life changes, abuse, loss and personal development.
My first session
The first sessions in therapy are a gentle beginning鈥攁n opportunity to get to know each other and begin building a safe, trusting relationship. During these early sessions, we'll explore what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any questions or concerns you may have. It's a space where you're invited to share at your own pace, with no pressure to 鈥渉ave it all figured out.鈥
Together, we'll begin to make sense of your experiences and emotions, while I offer reflections and support grounded in empathy and curiosity. These initial sessions also help us discover whether we鈥檙e a good fit, and how we might work together to support your growth and wellbeing.
