About me and my therapy practice
Art Psychotherapy is about using verbal and non-verbal communication for insight and emotional regulation. You don't need to be 'good at art' or have any special skills to benefit.
As an art therapist I am trained in using creative and psychological interventions to help you increase your sense of fulfilment and well-being.
I offer compassion and support by providing a safe and non-judgmental space where you feel seen and heard, and empowered towards your goals.
In addition to traditional therapy skills, I offer you a wide choice of materials for regulation and expression. These include sandtray, found objects, paint, clay, poetry, journaling, story-telling, dreamwork, or holistic practices, such as grounding, mindfulness, body-awareness, breath, sound, movement, and nature as a resource.
The advantage of a combined integrative and creative approach is that it enables therapy to be adjusted to your specific needs. It can encourage you to ‘think outside of the box’, while helping to build resilience & process emotions more safely.

During this introductory meeting I will answer questions and address any concerns you have. I will explain how I work and discuss confidentiality and safeguarding before completing a short assessment with you.
