About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, grounded, and non-judgemental space for you to explore whatever is on your mind. As a humanistic counsellor, my approach is non-directive, which means I follow your lead and work at your pace. I believe in the innate potential for growth that lies within each of us and aim to support that through a relationship built on trust, empathy, and respect.
My practice is rooted in the here and now, and I pay close attention to what’s emerging in the present moment. This allows us to gently explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences as they unfold, creating space for new insights and ways of being. I’m also informed by mindfulness and meditation, which guide the calm, reflective nature of my work. I offer a steady presence — a still point — where you can pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
I work with adults on a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, loss, life transitions, identity, and relationship challenges. I have a trauma-informed approach and aim to meet each client with sensitivity, care, and attunement to their unique needs and history.
I welcome people from all backgrounds and strive to offer a space where you feel safe, respected, and accepted. You don’t need to have a clear reason for coming — sometimes it’s enough to feel that something isn’t quite right, or that you’re seeking a deeper connection with yourself.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are available in person or online. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about what therapy might bring, you're very welcome just as you are.
I am a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ and adhere to its Ethical Framework.
Practice description
At the heart of my practice is the belief that meaningful change happens through relationship. I offer a collaborative, compassionate space where you are invited to bring whatever you’re carrying — without pressure or expectation. I don’t offer advice or direction, but instead stay alongside you as we explore what matters to you, trusting that insight and clarity can emerge through the process itself.
Our work together might involve paying attention to bodily sensations, tone of voice, or subtle shifts in feeling — all of which can offer valuable clues to your inner world. I’m attentive to how early experiences or relational patterns may be shaping how you feel and relate in the present. While I won’t analyse or interpret you, I may gently reflect what I notice to help bring things into awareness.
I aim to create a space that feels steady and safe enough for deeper exploration, especially if you’re carrying pain that has never had room to be witnessed. I hold a trauma-informed lens, which means I’m mindful of your nervous system, your pace, and the importance of choice and consent in everything we do.
Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform or hold it all together. We can sit with uncertainty, explore stuckness, and welcome whatever shows up — with patience, curiosity, and care.
My first session
Our first session is an initial meeting and is offered at a reduced fee of £25. It is a chance for us to get a sense of one another and explore whether working together feels like the right fit. Held in person and lasting 50 minutes, the session includes some questions from me, a space for you to share a brief personal history, and time to ask anything you'd like to know. I’ll also take some basic details, all of which will be held securely in line with GDPR. Toward the end, we can consider whether to move forward together and, if so, arrange the next steps. There’s no pressure or obligation — it’s simply a space to begin the conversation. I look forward to meeting you.
