About me and my therapy practice
Dr Piatt is an integrative psychotherapist – which simply means that she tailors her approach to suit the individual needs of the client drawing on a range of theories and techniques. She has an excellent track record in working with clients on issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, bereavement, relationship problems, insomnia, trauma, anger, low self-esteem, loss of motivation, energy and joy.
Dr Piatt has enjoyed an extensive career in senior management and high-profile roles working with leaders at the highest levels of business, government, the media and academia. This has given her a deep understanding of the pressures facing high-achieving, talented individuals who often work in fast paced, demanding, competitive environments or clients who have to juggle numerous, often competing, priorities. She also has a rare understanding of the stresses of being in the spotlight and the public eye. Working in the NHS Counselling service also gave her invaluable experience of a diverse range of presenting issues and conditions and clients from many different backgrounds.
She has undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Oxford University and King’s College, London where she was awarded several academic prizes.
Practice description
Dr Piatt helps her clients cope better with the many challenges and struggles life brings. She aims to empower her clients, improve their quality of life and well-being, and enable them to fulfil their potential. She helps clients achieve a clearer understanding of themselves and improve their relationships with their partners, family, friends and/or colleagues.
She provides a non-judgemental, confidential space where clients can feel entirely safe and free to reveal their innermost thoughts or open up about traumatic or distressing experiences which they may not have felt able to share with anyone else.
