About me and my therapy practice
You don’t have to have all the answers - just a willingness to begin!
Reaching out for therapy can feel scary. It takes courage and strength to ask for support, especially if you’re used to carrying things on your own or come from a background where vulnerability isn’t always welcomed. Something in you knows it’s time to pause and take care of yourself. The path to healing starts with being heard - I’m here to hold that space for you.
As an Integrative therapist, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I work holistically, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, and body-based awareness, and will tailor our work together to support your unique story. But more than any particular method, I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. Healing and growth happens when we feel safe and accepted as we are.
As an Indian woman who has lived in a number of countries spanning the Middle-East, North America, and Europe, I’ve experienced a multitude of cultures. This helps me bring a lived understanding of how race, class, culture, and systemic oppression can impact mental health, relationships, and self-worth. No matter your background, I offer a space where you can truly share your experience and feel understood.
Your experiences shape how you move through the world, and they deserve attention, not judgment. In our work together, we'll uncover the patterns, beliefs, and feelings that live beneath the surface. In our sessions, you can expect an environment where your voice is heard, your experiences are validated, and your journey is honoured. Together, we will navigate your life, promoting self-awareness, resilience, and empowerment.
Whether you’re on the path to self-discovery or just want to work on your confidence, my aim is to support you in reconnecting with your inner resources so you can build a life that feels authentic to you.
Practice description
I have dedicated over 7 years to training, beginning with a Bsc (Hons) in Psychology with Criminology at Northumbria University, followed by a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling at the Northern Guild for Counselling and Psychotherapy in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Throughout my career as a therapist, I have completed over 170 client facing hours and gained valuable experience working with diverse client populations with a wide range of presenting issues. I have worked with adults navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma, neurodivergence, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
In addition to my qualifications and experience, I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ) and The Northern Guild for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also hold an enhanced DBS check and am completely insured, guaranteeing safety and professionalism for my practice.
I work online over Zoom or in person from Jesmond NE2 - a 5 minute walk from the metro or with 2-hour free parking in the adjacent street.

My first session
I offer a free introductory call that lasts up to 20 minutes so you can ask any questions before deciding to try therapy. If you choose to go ahead with therapy, we will book our first session during this call.
In the first session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, talk about your goals, and discuss any relevant personal history that helps me better understand your experiences. I’ll also review important details about the therapeutic relationship, including confidentiality and informed consent, so you know what to expect and feel safe.
From there, we can create a plan that feels right for you, moving at a pace that’s comfortable and respectful of your process.
