About me and my therapy practice
I am a Íø±¬ÃÅ-registered counsellor and hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health, as well as having completed a Master’s in Psychotherapy and Counselling. I have experience supporting clients with trauma, loss, relationship difficulties, stress, anxiety, loneliness, depression and low self-esteem.
I offer short- and long- term counselling to adults. Working collaboratively together in a safe, non-judgmental space, we explore what is troubling you and how to bring about the changes you want to see in your life.
My approach embraces some empowering and compassionate insights derived from neuroscientific research, blending these concepts alongside talking therapy, often welcomed by clients who find it difficult to open up, feel stuck, constantly stressed, or simply feel that talking therapy alone is not enough for them.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic models, depending on your need and preference. My training primarily includes psychodynamic, person-centred and existential theories, alongside neuroscientific ideas, including polyvagal theory and somatic experiencing. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my practice and I am dedicated to my own continual learning and development, using both personal therapy and clinical supervision to support me in my work.
A significant aspect of practice usually involves strengthening your resilience and building your sense of self-compassion. Focusing in these areas often helps to unlock different ways of relating to yourself and to others around you, helping you to move closer to the life and relationships you want.
Sessions usually last 50-55 minutes and cost £50. Concessionary spaces are available; ask for details.
If you are interested in working together, please get in touch and we can arrange a free 15-minute introductory session online.
My first session
Our first full session will be an assessment session. This is a space where we can gently explore what has brought you to counselling, what you hope to gain from the process, and how we might begin to approach this together. It’s an opportunity to start shaping the therapeutic journey in a way that feels safe, supportive, and tailored to your needs. We will review our work regularly to make sure that you are getting what you need from it.
