Availability

I currently have availability for new clients and offer sessions in-person, online, or outdoors in nature.

I offer flexible appointments across the week, including evenings, weekends and occasional late-night (8pm-2am) online sessions. This flexibility helps me support people with busy or unpredictable schedules, whether that鈥檚 due to shift work, caring responsibilities or simply life being full. If you鈥檙e unsure what might work, just get in touch...I鈥檓 happy to adapt where I can.

At the moment, I have space for new clients and can usually offer an initial appointment within a couple of days.

If you鈥檙e thinking about starting therapy, feel free to reach out with any questions. There鈥檚 no pressure, just a chance to explore whether it feels like a good fit. I aim to respond to messages within a few hours.

About me and my therapy practice

If you鈥檙e reading this, you might be thinking about talking to someone. I know from personal experience that reaching out can feel like a big, uncertain step. So let me start by saying: I鈥檓 really glad you鈥檙e here.

I offer a relaxed, down-to-earth space for anyone who鈥檚 struggling with鈥 well, life. You don鈥檛 need a diagnosis, a big reason, or the perfect words. Maybe you鈥檙e feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, disconnected. Or maybe you just know something isn鈥檛 right. Whatever it is, we can explore it together, at your pace.

I work with people from all walks of life. My door鈥檚 open to anyone who wants support, whatever your story. That said, I have particular experience in supporting people affected by addiction, trauma and high-pressure roles. This includes those working on the front lines of care. I鈥檝e built up over 400 hours of experience supporting people through addiction-related challenges on a one-to-one basis. One of my current roles involves co-facilitating a community outreach programme in Glasgow. I also support a team of frontline professionals consisting of paramedics, nurses and others鈥ho show up for others every day, often at the cost of their own wellbeing.

I also have a close connection to the animal-care world through my own working background. Whether it鈥檚 veterinary, rescue or something in between, I understand the emotional toll this kind of work can take, the quiet compassion fatigue that builds over time, the grief, the pressure to keep going.

Practice description

I use an integrative, person-centred approach. In other words, I don鈥檛 believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I draw from different types of counselling and shape each session around what feels most helpful for you. You鈥檙e the expert on your own life. My role is to bring empathy, insight and flexibility to support you as you figure things out. We鈥檒l work in a way that makes sense for you.

Sessions with me aren鈥檛 rigid. They鈥檙e human. Sometimes they鈥檙e serious. Sometimes they鈥檙e unexpectedly fun. I go out of my way to adapt each session to meet you where you鈥檙e at. No pressure. No judgement. Just genuine support.

You can choose how we meet:

鈥 In-person in a cosy, trauma-informed space

鈥 Outdoors in nature, at a pace that suits you

鈥 Online, if that fits your lifestyle best

Why I offer outdoor counselling

Throughout my life, I鈥檝e always felt a deep connection to nature. It鈥檚 where I go to reset, decompress and come back to myself. Most weekends you鈥檒l find me off-grid in Galloway Forest Park, getting lost in the wilderness with my dog. Nature plays a huge part in keeping me grounded, and I love being able to share that with my clients. It鈥檚 not about hiking boots or pushing limits. It鈥檚 about slowing down, breathing, and letting the natural world support your process. Nature is ever-changing, and so are you.

Therapy doesn鈥檛 have to look or feel one particular way. It just has to feel safe enough to start. So if something about this has caught your attention, even if you鈥檙e not sure why, you鈥檙e welcome to get in touch. Come as you are.

My first session

In our first session, we鈥檒l explore how we can best work together. This is a chance for you to get a feel for how I work and for us both to begin understanding what you鈥檇 like from therapy.

You don鈥檛 need to prepare anything or have the 鈥渞ight鈥 words, just come as you are. We鈥檒l go at your pace. I may ask some gentle questions to get to know you better, but there鈥檚 no pressure to share anything you鈥檙e not ready to.

We鈥檒l talk about what鈥檚 brought you here, what you鈥檇 like support with, and what feels most important for you right now. We鈥檒l also discuss practicalities such as how often we might meet, what type of session suits you best (in-person, online, or outdoors), and whether you鈥檇 prefer a fixed or more flexible approach.

I don鈥檛 carry out formal assessments or use questionnaires in the first session unless we鈥檝e agreed this might be useful. My approach is more about building a genuine connection and creating a space where you feel safe enough to explore what鈥檚 going on.

The first session is charged at the standard rate. If you鈥檇 like to have a chat first, I offer a free 15-minute phone call with no pressure to commit...just a chance to ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.
