I currently work flexibly within standard working hours through to evenings and weekends. 

Face to face appointments are also flexible, however may be a little more restricted due to room bookings. 

About me and my therapy practice

As a person centred counsellor with experience in supporting young adults and all who have been affected by cancer,  my approach is flexible and adaptable to each individual, and is built on care and respect. 

Along with my skills I bring a genuine sense of self, a down to earth character and a warmth that I hope helps to ease you in to your counselling experience, whether it be your first time, or a continuation of support. 

In this fast paced world of expectations and demands I am passionate in offering an environment which allows you the mental and physical space needed to take a breath.  A chance to unpack, unravel and off load to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your surroundings.  A space where real change can take place within the areas of your life you hope to gain more from. 

I am open to supporting with a selection of areas including overwhelm, anxiety, self harm, grief, relationships along with those areas that aren’t so easy to label, when we just don’t feel ourselves and aren’t quite sure why. 

I also offer specialist cancer counselling, to support anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis. Whether you yourself have been diagnosed or you are supporting a loved one I offer a unique space of understanding and support that allows you permission to pause, to focus on your own needs for a moment. 

Other avenues of support include coaching, which can be really useful on their own when at a crossroads in life, or to follow on from therapy sessions, lending focus and guidance to specific practical areas in life.

It is difficult to take the steps to reach out, to say out loud I think I need something outside of myself to help me right now. I have been here myself and appreciate the feelings and resistance this may bring up. What I’ve learned is that our bravery shows up in many ways, reaching out being one of them, and once over the first hurdle the opportunity is given back to you to find the answers and support within yourself once again. 

Practice description

The importance of finding the right support for you is my priority, I offer each client a 30 minute chat before any work commences to make sure working together feels comfortable, and that I am the best equipped therapist to meet your needs. 


I offer a variety of ways to connect with my clients to meet their personal circumstances. I offer online, telephone, email and text support outside face to face appointments. 



My first session

Once we have agreed to work together we will arrange a date and time for our first session to take place. This date and time will continue through our work together to help provide a solid sense of commitment and consistency. 

Our first 50 minute session will include contracting and a short assessment of 10 questions to help identify any areas of immediate support that you may require.  

From here we will start the process of building our sessions together and exploring areas you may be looking to work on. It is also common that this may not be known to you at this point so we work at your pace to support in exploring that.  

I pride myself on working with each client in an individual way. Our first session may include finding out what works and doesn’t work for you in sessions, along with looking into what potential adaptations could be put in place to potentially help put you at ease.
