About me and my therapy practice

I'm an attachment-based, psychoanalytic psychotherapist and trained at The Bowlby Centre, London. I offer therapy to adults (18+) in Shoreditch (London), Bishop’s Stortford (Hertfordshire) and online.

I offer a warm, accepting space to explore your experiences at your own pace, with a focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship.

As well as my private practice, I also have experience working within the NHS Hertfordshire Partnership Trust as part of The Forensic and Learning Disability Service.

My Approach

I offer long-term, open-ended psychotherapy that provides the opportunity for deep and meaningful work. As an attachment-based therapist, I am particularly interested in how early relationships with caregivers shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Together, we can explore how these patterns, often outside of awareness, influence your present life.

My work is also informed by psychoanalytic thinking, helping to bring into awareness the unconscious struggles that may underlie emotional distress, unhelpful patterns of relating or ways of coping. I support clients in developing curiosity and compassionate reflection about the complex, layered aspects of themselves.

A trauma-informed perspective underpins my practice. I recognise that trauma, whether from single overwhelming events or ongoing relational difficulties, can leave lasting imprints on the body and mind. I work gently and collaboratively to support you in restoring a sense of inner safety, reconnecting with the physiological responses of your body and what they may be communicating, and building secure, compassionate connections within yourself and with others.

Practice description

I work in person in Shoreditch, (London) and Bishop’s Stortford, (Hertfordshire), both are a 10 minute walk from a station, and both practices offer a calm and confidential space for in-person sessions.

I also offer online therapy via Zoom, which can provide greater flexibility depending on your location or schedule. If you’d like more details, feel free to get in touch.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place once, twice a week or more frequently, depending on what feels most supportive. We can discuss what frequency might work best for you during our initial conversations.

As an attachment-based therapist I work on a long-term, open-ended basis, in therapy that usually may last for months or years, depending on how long you wish to continue.

Please contact me to discuss my availability and fees.

My first session

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. It gives you the opportunity to experience what it might feel like to work with me and to ask any questions you have.

I’ll invite you to share what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping for from the process. I’ll also ask about your family history, important relationships, significant life events, your current circumstances, and any worries you have about the past, present, or future.

At the end of our first meeting, if you feel comfortable, we can arrange two more sessions. By the third session, we’ll reflect together on whether I feel like the right therapist for you. If you decide to continue, we can agree on ongoing sessions at a frequency that feels right for you, whether that be weekly, twice weekly or more frequent.
