Life’s challenges—whether workplace stress, relationship struggles, bereavement or anxiety—can leave us feeling stuck, drained or overwhelmed. Perhaps your usual coping mechanisms are no longer working, and emotions, overthinking or past traumas feel unbearable. These experiences, when left unaddressed, can impact daily life leaving you feeling isolated.
Finding the right counsellor is vital—a space where you feel safe, heard and understood. The power of being truly listened to without judgment fosters healing and change.
With over 35 years in leadership across the public and non-profit sectors, I understand the pressures of juggling responsibilities. My work in emergency services, the NHS and education has deepened my insight into the challenges people face. Ten years ago, I transitioned from supporting organisations to directly helping individuals, embarking on my counselling journey.
Now, as a Íø±¬ÃÅ-registered Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed care. My approach integrates polyvagal theory, somatic experiencing and a deep belief in the mind-body connection. Drawing from Person-Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Attachment theories, mindfulness and somatic therapy, I tailor support to each client’s unique needs—helping them reconnect with themselves in a safe, supportive environment.
Practice description
I offer face to face, telephone and online 50 minute sessions.

- Trauma-Informed Therapy – Creating a safe space for healing past wounds and fostering emotional resilience.
- Polyvagal Theory Integration – Helping clients understand and regulate their nervous system responses to stress and trauma.
- Somatic Experiencing – Using body-based techniques to release stored trauma and restore balance.
- Mindfulness & Self-Compassion – Encouraging self-awareness and emotional regulation through gentle, guided practices.
