About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome.
Are you looking for a therapist that values your unique experiences and celebrates diversity?
I am a professionally trained therapist and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental, and client-centred approach to therapy. My practice is grounded in creating a safe and confidential therapeutic space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or shame.
Practice description
My therapeutic approach
I offer a talking therapy with practical elements to meet your needs.
This includes mind-body techniques such as Mindfulness and Somatic therapy to create a greater connection between your physical and emotional experiences for a more integral alignment.
It is a working collaboration and will always check with your comfort levels before engaging in the practical elements.
I have training in:
• CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) which focuses on behaviour, thoughts, and feelings related to them, helping you understand what is useful behaviour and change what is no longer helpful to you.
• Gestalt which looks at the person as a whole, the present moment and promotes self- awareness. It works with mind, body and emotions and understanding the more immediate- here and now feelings helping you better understand how you relate to others and to situations.
• Psychodynamic- TA (Transactional Analysis) which is a theory that looks at the importance of past experiences and the unconscious, how people relate and exchange messages with others helping to improve relationships and communication. We may discuss childhood, parents or other significant people in your life.
With nearly two decades of experience in education, I have a strong passion for supporting young people and individuals with learning disabilities.
I have a particular interest in neurodiversity, including working with those who have Autism or ADHD, as well as the caregivers who support them.
Together we can navigate the challenges faced in a world that doesn't always give us a place to be ourselves.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Annie.
I provide a confidential space to explore your unique experiences and emotions. Whether you seek a slower-paced or deep-dive approach, I blend body and mind techniques to help you feel aligned and connect more deeply with what matters to you.
I am trauma informed, anti-oppressive, inclusive and work with you in mind based on what you bring into the therapeutic space.
I am empathic and genuine and will fully support you on your therapeutic journey with consideration and care.
With nearly 20 years of experience in education, I have a deep passion for supporting young people—especially those with learning disabilities, neurodivergence, Autism, or ADHD—and the caregivers who walk alongside them.
I'm here to support you in navigating the challenges you may face in a warm, open and attentive therapeutic environment.
Whatever stage you find yourself at right now, be it anxious, scared, bereaved, sad, hopeless, lost or confused, hurt, heart-broken or stuck- there is hope!
Practice description
I am a professionally trained humanistic therapeutic counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Dedicated to enhancing your emotional and mental wellbeing, I work inclusively and creatively.
I integrate various approaches to find what works for you.
This means I combine the CBT, Gestalt, Person-Centred and Psychodynamic theories and techniques in my therapy tool kit.
Therapy is a transformative journey towards self-understanding, healing, and growth.
Young people 15-18
Young adults 19-25
Older adults
*home visits are by case-by-case assessment*
Sessions are 50 minutes.
My first session
If you chose to get in contact, I offer an initial FREE 20 minute conversation to see if I can meet your requirements and if we are a good fit to work together therapeutically.
Our first session will be an assessment to gather some background information and gain a better understanding of your wants and needs for therapy. Here we will decide together how best we can work in collaboration so you get the most from it.
If you are a young person and unsure about how therapy works and want to know if it's for you, please send me an email and we can go from there.
