About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome to my profile, I’m a person-centred counsellor called Fee.

A bit about myself, I have worked in the social care sector for over 10 years, with experience of working with diverse age ranges of clients. My focus and passion is around mental health, burnout and delving deeper into suppressed emotions and pleasing people behavior's along with personal growth around the understanding and implementing of personal positive boundaries.  

It can be difficult taking the first steps towards therapy, then finding the right person to join you on your journey when life itself feels chaotic and overwhelming.

Practice description

Having people around you to help and support you in different areas can ease the burden. With the right counsellor you can speak openly without judgment, not having to pick and choose what you say in fear of what others will think. I can offer a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Relationships are both positive and negative, navigating through the complexities of each relationship, what it brings and what it can take away from you, leaving you confused and unsure of yourself. As we chose to grow, the relationships around us don’t always grow and change with us, navigating and making life changing choices that feel right can feel complex and daunting. I can support you to navigate as you make the choices that feel right for you and creating healthy boundaries.

Often, we walk on a fine balance juggling as we go, through the day and week. Work can take a large amount of your time and life. Burn out can creep up and consume you, the feelings and overwhelming thoughts impacting all the areas of your life. The challenges of work spilling into your personal life, the rippling effects overtaking the calm and disturbed sleep. The narrative that becomes a constant replaying your mind, taking away your focus and concentration, leaving you unsettled, beyond tired both emotionally and physically.

With all situations we have choices, to work through the triggers from childhood to adulthood, some new, others deeply steeped and woven into the fabric of your being.  Bringing with it unease, acceptance, leading to understanding then working through how you want to heal and move away from your triggers. How you want to view and accept yourself along with how you want to move forward and feel. Another choice is to keep going, repeating the same triggers and conditions of worth, feelings of not being enough, corrosive shame, guilt, self-expectations, your body and mind blocking the process of healing with the illusion of protecting itself.
