About me and my therapy practice

I am a transpersonal integrative psychotherapist, drawing on a series of perspectives for understanding human experience. I qualified with a Diploma from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, a qualification I chose because of its scope for considering the whole person: who you are and who you are becoming. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your personal experience, as well as the ways the past may be affecting you in the present to leave you feeling stuck, restricted or distressed. You may have repeating patterns of thought or behaviour that you want to understand or change or you may be simply seeking support in the face of life's challenges.

As an integrative therapist, my aim is to work with and alongside you so that together it becomes possible to be curious about your experience and what is happening in your life. As an integrative practitioner I can draw on a range of different modalities in response to you and your needs. However, rather than impose any particular way of working, my aim is to help you find a way of using the therapy to feel seen and heard. Although it's often called "talking therapy" I believe listening is the essential ingredient. When you feel truly listened to, it's possible to listen to yourself in a new and more compassionate way.

Practice description

I work with adults aged 18+ face to face in comfortable rooms located near London Paddington. I also offer online work, although these places are limited.

We can decide together whether to work in an open ended contract or for a shorter set period of time with a specific focus.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place at the same day and time each week.

My first session

Before booking the first session, I offer a free introductory phone or video call. This is an opportunity for you to share any anxieties about the first session and to talk briefly - if you like - about what is bringing you for therapy. It's also a chance for me to describe the details of how I work and to share any practical arrangements for the first session.

The first two sessions are the usual length of 50 minutes, charged at the normal ongoing rate. The focus in these initial two sessions is to think about your personal history so that we can build a better context for understanding what has brought you and what you want to get from our work together.  We can agree during the early sessions whether shorter fixed term counselling or open ended psychotherapy is more appropriate.
