About me and my therapy practice

I am dedicated and compassionate therapist committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. With years of experience in counselling and working with Autistic individuals, I can provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions.

I specialise in working with

  • adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse,
  • anxiety,
  • depression,
  • relationship issues
  • self-esteem
  • to name but a few.

Pluralism believes in using different tools for different people at different times. My goal is to empower you with the tools and insights needed to foster personal growth and emotional well-being.

Everyone’s journey is unique, and I believe in working collaboratively to create a path toward healing and resilience. Whether you're struggling with trauma, facing a difficult transition, seeking clarity, or simply looking for support, I am here to guide you.

I am a pluralistic therapist with a Masters in Developmental Psychology. For the last few years I have been working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I have experience in the areas of autism, trauma, anxiety, depression, sexual and physical abuse, to name but a few.

As a pluralistic therapist I can draw on different modalities to create a personal therapeutic experience to fit the individual needs of each person. This can then be adapted as your needs and wants changes over time.

I am here to listen, support and believe in you, until you are ready to do that for yourself.

Feel free to reach out—I look forward to supporting you.

Practice description

I trained as a pluralistic counsellor. Pluralistic counselling is a flexible, client-centred therapeutic approach that emphasises shared decision-making and integrates various therapeutic methods to meet individual client needs. The goal of pluralism is to create and develop an approach to therapy that is flexible and suited to the needs of each individual client. I believe that different people will need different things throughout their therapeutic journeys and Pluralism is a great way to achieve this. Working with my clients I like to work collaboratively with them. Some days a client may need to just vent about life’s frustrations, sometimes they will want to explore how memory, the brain and how anxiety works. Sometimes a client may want to explore self-care, feel supported and other times they may need to have their preconceptions challenged. As a pluralistic counsellor I know I have tools for every client in my toolbox.

This integrative stance not only enhances the therapeutic relationship but also empowers clients by offering them a choice in how they engage with the counselling process. By drawing on multiple perspectives, I aim to facilitate a deeper understanding of their challenges and to foster meaningful growth and change.

Why do I love my work?

I love to see the difference a little care and support can make for a person. There are so many things in this world that can tear down a person’s self-confidence, self-belief and humanity. I love watching the glow building in a person’s eyes and smile, to see the self-love and self-confidence return. It is such an amazing experience to be a part of someone’s journey out of depression and into self-care and loving themselves again. Why would I not love having such an amazing career?

My first session

The first session is a 15 min free online getting to know each other session. During this session I will tell you a bit more about myself and the way I work. You are free to ask me any questions you may have about the way I work or me that you may have. This will allow us a chance to meet and decide if we are a good fit for working together. Not all personalities are compatible and it is important that you feel comfortable and safe with me.

I feel it is important for clients to feel comfortable with me to allow for the best therapeutic alliance to be achieved.

After our initial meet and greet and you wish to go a head with me I will send over the contract for your consideration. The contract contains what I expect from you and what you can expect from me i.e. complete confidentiality- except in cases of fear of harm to self and others etc. This will need to be signed and returned before our first session.
