About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome. I'm Rebecca

You'll find me easy to talk to, and I'm told I have a naturally calming presence. I'll help you feel comfortable as you open up and share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings with me. I know that choosing a therapist when you're already struggling can be overwhelming, so I want to reassure you that I'll put you at ease from the outset. With my encouragement, I'll help you reconnect with yourself and life around you.

Testimonial - grief and overwhelm

'Rebecca helped me so much when I was struggling with the loss of a family member. She is empathic and has a calming presence that enabled me to articulate the problems I was dealing with. In addition to this, she also gave me lots of practical advice, including several techniques that I could apply on a daily basis to reframe negative thought patterns, and counter the feelings I was having of being overwhelmed. Her advice and encouragement helped me to find meaning again. Whatever your situation is, I can absolutely recommend Rebecca’s professional guidance to help you on your path to recovery...'

You can speak openly and freely in our sessions, knowing you'll be fully accepted and supported. As we explore, you’ll come to understand yourself more deeply. Together, we'll uncover your strengths and what motivates you, helping you regain direction and clarity as you move forward. You'll begin to feel more in control of your life again as we unravel what's been holding you back, leading to healthier relationships and a stronger, kinder connection with yourself.

Our journey together will help you grow in confidence, rediscover joy, and make positive choices for your future.

Focus areas of support and care

Anxiety, depression, grief and loss, overwhelming emotions, low self-esteem, significant life changes and challenges, including supporting your journey of self-understanding and exploring the impact of ADHD or a diagnosis.

Practice description

Do you feel anxiety has become all too familiar, leaving your self-esteem drained? Perhaps you no longer believe in yourself or trust your own decisions. Life may not feel as you want it to, leaving you feeling lost and unsure why.

The weight of past experiences, regrets, and future uncertainty can be overwhelming. You’re not alone in feeling this way. I know how hard it is to face the emotions you’ve been trying to avoid.

When emotions take over, everything can feel heavy and unclear, making it hard to express yourself or see a way forward. You may be carrying grief for someone you love or struggling with relationships, personally or at work. It can leave you feeling stuck and disconnected, as if life has lost its meaning and purpose, making it hard to get through each day.

If something you read here today resonates with you, my support is only a message away. My caring, compassionate approach ensures we move at a pace that feels secure and that you will feel seen and understood throughout our work together.

Testimonial - grief and loss

'I want to thank you so much for your time, Rebecca. This hurt will always be with us, but you have taught me how to deal with it and breathe. Just listening to your voice and talking about everything was a big help...'

As an experienced Cruse Bereavement counsellor, I have a particular focus on grief and loss. I understand that some days feel lighter, while grief can return unexpectedly with full force. While sharing your feelings won't make grief disappear, together we can find ways to manage those intense emotions. I can help you gain a deeper understanding during a time when everything feels confusing and uncertain.

'Grief isn't always loud. Sometimes it's silent and slow. Sometimes it looks like functioning on the outside while falling apart inside...'

My first session

Our first session provides a space for you to begin sharing and exploring what's brought you here. I understand how vulnerable this can feel and the emotions it can bring, but I will be there to guide and support you gently. You can share your thoughts and feelings in our sessions, knowing you will be fully accepted.

As we delve into the core of who you are, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we will identify your strengths and what motivates you, so we can work to get you back on track and help you gain a clearer sense of how to move forward.

You’ll begin to feel more in control of your life. Leading to healthier interactions and a stronger, kinder connection with yourself. This journey can help you grow in confidence, rediscover happiness, and make positive choices for your future.

Testimonial – rediscovering purpose

I began therapy very unsure of what I wanted or how to deal with multiple tricky situations in my life. Rebecca was compassionate, understanding, and patient - she offered alternative perspectives on things I'd struggled with a lot. I now have a level of self-appreciation and pride that I didn't have before, and I'm so glad I did the sessions with her because of that. Thank you for everything!'
