About me and my therapy practice

Íø±¬ÃÅ

I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist who specialises in working with neurodivergent clients and / or workplace wellbeing.

Perhaps you think you may be neurodivergent, but don’t have a diagnosis or you might have recently been diagnosed and want to explore this?

As neurodivergence presents differently in different people, I will take time to understand your experiences including social situations, cognitive function and any sensory sensitivities. I have assisted previous neurodivergent clients to achieve a better understanding and greater acceptance of themselves.

The workplace may influence mental health. Perhaps you are experiencing a high workload, bullying, structural reorganisation or coping with disciplinary action? Are you experiencing low self-esteem, low mood or sleeping problems? Sometimes events outside of work, such as bereavement, separation or ill health, can affect ability to focus on work. These are all experiences that we can work on together.

The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification

Practice description

Neurodivergent people may not have experienced feeling listened to or understood. It might be that you feel you have had to learn how to live in a neurotypical world. My approach aims to be non-judgemental, accepting of (neuro)diversity and to provide a safe space to explore collaboratively what brought you to counselling and how to go forward. I hope that you will feel listened to, heard and validated so that you can be the real you.

Clients who see me about workplace wellbeing have often said how it helps to talk to someone outside of the work situation and outside friends or family.

I am a Chartered Psychologist accredited by the British Psychological Society. If relevant I will apply psychology into our work such as psychoeducation or considering how your past may influence your behaviour and feelings.

My first session

It is important that you find someone who you want to work with. This is why I offer a free 20-minute Zoom call so we can meet each other online and see whether we are a good fit. If you would like to book sessions then I will email you my contract.
