About me and my therapy practice
Hi there, I'm Jocelyn.
At the heart of my practice is a versatile and dynamic approach, this allows me to tailor my work uniquely to you, considering your individual needs, personality and circumstances.
Embarking on a mental health journey can feel complex and deeply personal. I offer a holistic and customised approach, whether that’s through non-directive, client-led exploration or deeper psychodynamic work to understand emotional and behavioural patterns. I often use transactional analysis to help clarify the ways you interact with yourself and others, opening pathways to effective change and healthier relationships.
Practice description
My practice is built on a foundation of empathy, curiosity and collaboration. I work integratively, drawing on person-centred, gestalt, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and transactional analysis approaches. This means I tailor therapy to your individual needs, recognising that no single method fits everyone.
Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. Together, we create a supportive space to explore your experiences, emotional patterns and the ways you relate to yourself and others. My focus is on helping you build awareness, resilience, and the tools to create meaningful, lasting change.
Sessions are client-led but I also offer gentle structure where needed — especially if you feel unsure about where to start. Some sessions may involve exploring past experiences, while others may focus on present-day challenges, helping you make sense of your thoughts and feelings in the here and now.
I work with adult clients on a range of issues including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions and personal growth. Whether you seek short-term support or are interested in deeper, longer-term work, I will meet you where you are, at a pace that feels right for you.
My aim is to help you reconnect with your own strengths, cultivate self-trust and feel more grounded in your life and relationships.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. I will invite you to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. We will talk about what you would like to focus on and what you hope to achieve, and I will explain how I work so you can get a sense of whether my approach feels right for you.
This initial session is offered at the same rate as regular sessions. There is no obligation to commit beyond this meeting — it is a space for you to decide whether you would like to continue working together.
I may ask a few gentle questions to better understand your current situation any previous therapy experience and any important background information that could support our work. T
My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel safe, heard and respected as we begin this journey together.
