About me and my therapy practice

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. I became a therapist because I understand what it’s like to be in need of support, and I believe deeply in the healing power of being truly heard and seen. In our work together, I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. My approach is integrative and tailored to your needs, drawing from CBT, psychodynamic, Gestalt, person-centred, and bereavement-focused therapies. Whether you're navigating anxiety, loss, relationship challenges, or simply looking to understand yourself more deeply, I’m here to walk alongside you. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I’m honoured to support you wherever you are in yours. 

Practice description

I understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, but know that you will be met with warmth, patience, and an open heart. My role is to guide and support you, not with all the answers, but with the tools, insights, and encouragement you need to discover your own path toward healing and growth. I am here to listen deeply, to help you explore the areas of your life where you feel stuck, and to empower you to make choices that align with your true self.

Whether you're navigating difficult emotions, past trauma, or seeking greater clarity in your life, our work together will be tailored to your needs, pace, and comfort. You will never be rushed, and every small step you take will be met with acknowledgment and care. My ultimate goal is to support you in creating a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling, and to empower you with the confidence to face life's challenges with resilience and self-compassion. 

My first session

In our first session, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and supported as we begin our therapeutic journey together. During this initial meeting, I take the time to understand your unique needs and goals, allowing us to establish a foundation for our work moving forward. This session is a chance for us to get to know each other, so you can feel confident in your decision to continue therapy with me.

To make sure we’re aligned in our work together, I may ask you to complete a brief assessment or questionnaire. This helps me gain a clearer understanding of your concerns, priorities, and the areas you'd like to focus on. It’s not meant to be overwhelming, but rather to guide our sessions and ensure that the support you receive is tailored to your needs.

I offer a reduced rate for the first session as a way for us to connect and for you to experience how I work as a therapist without added pressure. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions, learn about the process, and discuss any expectations you may have. Together, we’ll determine the best way forward and create a plan that feels right for you
