My availability is Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. I respond to calls and emails during these hours. Please leave a message if your call is unanswered so I can return it. Calls from me will appear as a private number/no-caller ID.
About me and my therapy practice
I am integratively trained in three therapeutic modalities: psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This means I draw from each approach to tailor our work together based on your unique needs and goals.
CBT focuses on the connection between your thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. Together, we explore how your thinking patterns and behaviours may be impacting your mental health, and we work on developing healthier, more balanced ways of responding to life’s challenges.
Psychodynamic therapy looks deeper into the unconscious mind, helping you uncover how past experiences may be shaping your current emotions, behaviours, and thought patterns. This process involves making meaningful connections between your past and present, bringing unconscious material into awareness so it can be explored and understood.
Humanistic therapy centres on personal growth, self-awareness, and the development of a strong sense of self. It’s about understanding who you are at your core, exploring your values, and tapping into your internal resources to help you move toward the life you want to lead.
In our sessions, I use the approaches that are most relevant to what you bring to therapy, creating a supportive, collaborative space where your needs guide the process.
Practice description
I work to support and guide you with anything you are going through; this includes but is not limited to anxiety, stress, relationships, health problems, education, financial struggles, and work. Life is hard, but together, we can find a way to build resilience and also make you feel comforted and supported until you get to where you want to be.
You can expect me to provide you with guidance, support, and challenges to elevate your growth.
My first session
We will have a free 15-minute introductory call to discuss your needs. This will also allow us to see if we are a good fit for each other before arranging our next session.
In our first session, we will spend some time going over our therapeutic contract so you understand about payments, cancellations, rescheduling, and payments. We will discuss your therapy goals if you have any.
