About me and my therapy practice
Knowing who will be the right therapist and the best type of therapy for you can be difficult to decide. That is why I offer a free informal chat before any therapy commences. We would use this time to find out how you would like to access counselling, what you would like to achieve during counselling and which therapy techniques you feel would be the right fit for you. You are under no obligation at this time to continue your therapeutic journey with me.
I am an Integrative psychotherapist & Counsellor with my core practice being person-centred therapy. This means that I can tailor my counselling practice to meet the needs of the individual by drawing from my knowledge of many types of therapy to support clients during counselling where each session is totally unique to them. However if you or I feel that a different type of therapy or therapist would suit your needs better then I will help you to discover what is best for you.
Client autonomy is important to me and we will reflect upon the therapeutic journey regularly to meet the clients needs and choices. I work with clients to uncover how best to overcome any difficult periods in their lives and develop coping stategies which can be used during counselling and long after therapy has completed.
Depression and Anxiety can feel overwhelming and consuming; however, together we can get to the root of this and help you rediscover contentment in your life.
