About me and my therapy practice

I am here to help you navigate life's difficulties with compassion and expertise. I specialise in providing professional counselling service for adults dealing with depression, anxiety, self-esteem/confidence/body image issues, bereavement and loss, relationships (Personal/Workplace), loneliness and any other mental health challenges you may be experiencing.

The style of counselling I work with is called integrative. This involves using a range of counselling techniques, which are tailored to suit the need of each client, as I see each person as being unique I tailor the work I do to each person and their need. I also work in a person centred way where the client is always at the heart of the therapy and go at their pace, working collaboratively together. I have worked with clients from all backgrounds in a non judgmental way, with many presenting issues. Therapy can be long or short the client dictates the amount of sessions they feel they need. My role of counsellor is to support and guide clients through these sessions. It is really important to have an introductory call to see if I am a right fit for you, meaning to see if we get along and can go forward together. If you feel you need to talk to someone please reach out.

Practice description

I offer face to face sessions in and around Medway kent, I also offer online and telephone counselling,

I have a quiet confidential room in a few locations in Gillingham these include the GSA hub just off Gillingham high street, Woodlands school and the Sunlight Centre, Richmond road. There is parking near these locations (the GSA hub will require parking in a pay and display car park). These rooms are all fully accessible. I also offer home visits in and around Medway please contact me to discuss further.

I have six years experience of supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities so I also offer specialised counselling for adults with learning disabilities, ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need.

Your well-being is my priority, and I am committed to guiding you towards a path of healing and self-discovery

My first session

Before your first session I will have spoken to you over the phone to get to know you in a free 20 minute introductory phone call. Once you have agreed to work with me, I will send you my contract by email for you to read and sign and any other paperwork such as contact information and GP details and to organise your first session either in person or online/telephone.

At the start of the first session I will ask you if you have any further questions about the contract or the sessions and we will discuss this. I will also go over a few points in the contract such as confidentially as I create a safe space for you.

During the remainder of the session, I will go at your pace. I find some clients like to get straight into it, but some clients will take their time. The session is your time to use as you wish, to bring to the session what you wish to bring. I will be there to keep you on track and to help you get the most our of your session/s.
