About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with life changes and transitions? If so, I am here to listen and to sensitively support you.

I’m a Íø±¬ÃÅ registered integrative counsellor and therapist offering short and long-term therapy for adults and older adults, both in-person in Clapham Junction and online via Zoom. I work with a wide range of adults from across London, particularly in Wandsworth, Tooting, Earlsfield, Balham and Putney.

I also work as a therapist for a local NHS Talking Therapy service.

• Are you contemplating a second career, or wanting to study or retire?

• Perhaps you are sad, anxious and finding it hard to adjust as your almost adult child prepares to go to university?

• Do you have a parent with dementia and feel utterly overwhelmed by the responsibility of caring for them? At the same time are you juggling to meet the emotional needs of your stressed sixth former who is preparing to sit GCSEs or A Levels?

• Are you craving more time with your partner? Or perhaps more freedom?  Do you mourn intimacy?

If any of these sound familiar,  I may well be the counsellor to support you.  Whatever your age, you matter.

You may be lonely, or in need of someone to talk to. You may be feeling anxious, depressed, resentful or unfulfilled. You may be experiencing ongoing conflict in your relationship, struggling with grief, sadness, or exhaustion.  You may be feeling stuck and wanting to bring about changes.

I provide a warm, calm, and empathetic space both in person or online for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, no matter how complex or painful these may be.

What do I offer?

I am interested in relationships and how we communicate with those around us; how we cope with stress in the workplace and juggle the continual demands of family life.

After a lengthy teaching career in a local inner-city state secondary school, I understand the vast impact that work pressures and intense scrutiny place on our mental health as well as on our relationships with our children, partners, and parents.

Having opted for a career change and successfully completed my three-year training (Íø±¬ÃÅ Accredited) I am committed to my clients. I offer you a place to talk, share and explore your thoughts confidentially, without judgement.

How do I work?

I am an integrative registered Íø±¬ÃÅ counsellor using a range of modalities and approaches to address your needs in the way that best suits you.

My role is to listen to you, support you to be curious, reflect and self-explore as you try to find meaning in this often confusing and overwhelming world.

My wish is that our therapeutic work will encourage you to look within, enhance your curiosity and encourage you to feel more secure, more self-aware, and more self-accepting as you navigate the pressures, challenges, and adjustments of everyday life.

My first session

Once you contact me, I try to get back to you very promptly.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone initial conversation for you to tell me a little about yourself. This allows you to decide if you feel we might be a good fit.

At our first session we talk about what issues, concerns or problems you would like to bring to therapy.  We discuss and agree on how many sessions will initially work for you.

We regularly check in to reflect on how you are experiencing us working together.
