About me and my therapy practice
It is said that 鈥淭he happiness in your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts鈥, thoughts are where the process starts, therefore; 鈥淲atch your thoughts, because they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny鈥
All of that summarises where it can all go wrong, but it also pinpoints where it can all be kept right. If you are fed up with the version of life that you are leading CBT could lead you the life you want. So, now might be the time for you to make the changes you need to make things right for you and your life. It really needs to start with you. Only you can start on the road to change. Maybe you are at the point where you have had enough. That should be the motivation you need to get started. Practice description
To assist you in leading the life you want to live I provide therapy in the following areas: -
Depression- Through CBT, I can help you; if you are gloomy, self-critical, feeling you have messed up again, no one likes you, you want to stay at home, you are or you feel you are cut off from others, you don鈥檛 go out, you don鈥檛 do much, you are tired, no energy, not motivated, not interested, you have slowed down.
Anxiety - With CBT, I can help you if you fear, dread, panic, feel frustration, anger, disappointment, sadness provoking increased heart rate, muscle tension, sweating, blushing, dizziness, nausea all causing you to avoid situations, worrying about the what 鈥渋fs鈥, preventing you from leading the life you want.
Addiction - I can help you if you want the skills to assist you in your quest for abstinence through teaching, encouragement, and support with the issues associated with thoughts, behaviours and emotions.
Stress - My approach with CBT and the tools it provides can help you with the issues you are having relating to various stress situations and your reactions to them. PTSD is an example of trauma stress condition that can benefit from the application of CBT.
My first session
A 20 minute free phone conversation; you鈥檙e ready to change, but not sure. Give me a ring and we can discuss your issues.
If that conversation is fruitful and you want to move on to a first session, then we will explore your issues, your goals and determine a therapy programme that can be followed and the time frame over which the CBT will be delivered.
