About me and my therapy practice
I offer Person Centred Counselling, and will tailor our sessions to what you need. This may mean that some of our time is spent helping you to figure out what that is!
My commitment will be to support you in a non-judgmental way and provide you with the empathy and safe space you need in order to work through your challenges and find your own answers and solutions.
Practice description
My practice focuses very much on getting to know the person you are - what is important to you, what inspires you, what challenges you - and then building and nurturing a supportive relationship with you.
I welcome diversity and believe that we each have our own unique set of talents and qualities. I love the fact that we are all different and yet there is always something we can identify that we have in common.
In addition to being a qualified counselor, I have also worked as an Ambassador for Fair Treatment in the arena of tackling workplace bullying and harassment, and am qualified as a Suicide First Aider.
My aim as a counselor is to learn all I can about what it is like to be you......and in so doing, I hope to be your companion through your challenges.
I believe that Person Centred Counselling is able to empower people to overcome their challenges and become the best they can be.
My first session
For our first session, we will look at assessing your needs and what you hope to get out of therapy. We will discuss and agree how we can work together to help you to achieve your aim.
For you to get the best from therapy, it is important that you feel safe and comfortable with your counselor, so this first session is also a bit of a "getting to know you" opportunity for us both and gives us a chance to get some idea about whether I am the best counselor for you. If I feel that I do not have the relevant skills required to best assist you, I may suggest referring you to someone better suited to meet your needs.
The cost of this first session is £10.
