About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced person-centred therapist offering counselling in-person or via secure video call.

Sometimes, past experiences or upcoming challenges can feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward. This can contribute to anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles that may hold us back from living the life we truly want.

You might have been feeling this way for some time, or it may have started after a significant event or change in your life.

I recognise that taking the step to begin therapy is significant, and you will be met with respect, understanding and empathy.

I am here to support you, with a gentle and compassionate approach that helps you explore your thoughts and feelings and find your way forward. It’s your time, your pace, and guided by what feels right for you.

My practice is safe, ethical and confidential, ensuring the highest standard of professional and quality care for you or your loved one.

I offer in-person sessions at locations in St. Annes, Lytham and Preston and remote sessions through secure video call or telephone call. Your preferred location can be discussed during our free initial conversation.

Practice description

I have spent several years of practice supporting adults, young people, and children across NHS, education and hospice settings.

I have significant experience of working with anxiety, low-mood, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders and self-harm.

I am trained to postgraduate level 7 as a person-centred therapist and have completed additional training in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), generalised anxiety disorder, self-harm, and suicide awareness. I am a fully registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, including the Children, Young People, and Families division, and hold enhanced DBS clearance

My first session

To begin, please feel free to send me a message via the link above, and I will respond promptly to arrange an initial 20 minute telephone or video call.

This first conversation is free and without any obligation. It is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what you would like to gain from counselling and see if working together feels right for you.

If we decide to move ahead, we’ll book your first session. I offer open-ended counselling, which means you’re free to pause or stop at any time. Sessions usually take place weekly or bi-weekly, whichever suits you best.

We’ll regularly explore what’s working best for you and gently adjust our sessions to meet your needs. Some people feel supported after just a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing counselling over time.

Together, we’ll find a way forward that feels right and supportive for you.
