About me and my therapy practice

I offer compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults dealing with a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, addiction, stress, relationship issues, and more. My approach is rooted in person-centred care, offering a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences and begin the journey toward healing.

Practice description

As a level six psychotherapeutic counsellor I integrate psychodynamic, somatic, and creative techniques alongside a trauma-informed perspective to ensure that therapy is both sensitive and empowering. By understanding the impact of trauma on the mind and body, I work with you at a pace that feels right, honoring your boundaries while helping you process difficult emotions and experiences.

Our work together is relational and collaborative—this means you are always at the centre of your healing process. I am here to listen, support, and guide you through exploration and healing, building resilience, and fostering lasting change.

Whether you’re recovering from trauma, managing stress or anxiety, or seeking clarity on your emotional health, I’m here to walk alongside you, providing the care and understanding you need to move forward with confidence and peace.

My first session

The first session is all about getting to know you and understanding the reasons you’re seeking therapy. It’s a time to discuss your concerns, share your goals, and begin building a trusting relationship in a safe and welcoming space.

During this session, we will start by exploring your background, current challenges, and the emotional or psychological difficulties you’re experiencing. I take an integrative approach, meaning we’ll draw on a variety of therapeutic tools tailored to your individual needs. This may include psychodynamic exploration, somatic awareness, creative techniques, and trauma-informed care—all designed to support your healing in a holistic, compassionate way.

We’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the process. My approach is collaborative and relational, so your voice is central throughout our work together. The first session is also an opportunity for you to decide if my therapeutic style feels like a good fit for you, as establishing trust and a sense of safety is vital for the work ahead.

By the end of the session, we will have an understanding of what you hope to achieve in therapy and will begin exploring the steps to support your healing journey.
