About me and my therapy practice
I offer short and long term psychotherapy, where in a collaborative space you can talk about yourself and your life at a pace suited to you, so that together we work to gain a deeper understanding of the issues which are causing difficulty.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy, evolved from psychoanalytic theory, is a form of therapy which focuses on exploring unconscious processes to understand how past experiences influence present feelings and behaviours. It is a talking therapy where a therapist guides a patient towards self insight rather than giving direct advice or coping strategies, aiming for deeper understanding and lasting change by addressing the root cause of difficulties. (from bpf website).
