About me and my therapy practice
Whether you're feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply want some space to talk through any issues, together we can explore what you would like at your own pace. I offer a calm, confidential space where you can talk things through openly. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out - just a chance to take a step back and focus on yourself.
The challenges we face might stem from our own vulnerabilities, a painful or confusing relationship, or the illness or loss of a loved one. Anger or depression may grip us, or we might find ourselves overwhelmed by anxiety and stress. Sometimes, just talking through our thoughts with someone who is impartial and objective can take a huge weight off our shoulders.
If you're thinking about starting counselling, it would be good to hear from you.
Practice description
I use an integrative approach, meaning that I draw from various therapeutic models to tailor my approach to your needs. At the heart of my practice is the Person-Centred Approach, placing you at the core of the therapeutic process, this means our work together is led by your needs, at your pace, and centred around what feels most important to you. I believe in building a strong, trusting relationship where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported throughout your journey.
My first session
Our first session can focus on creating an understanding as to what you would like to gain from counselling, and how we can work together to create a space that feels right for you. I’ll invite you to share a little about what’s brought you here, but there’s no pressure to open up more than you feel comfortable with.
This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a feel for whether my approach aligns with what you’re looking for. Most importantly, it’s about ensuring you feel heard, understood and at ease as we begin this journey together.
