About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm and welcoming space to be heard.

Voicing your own unique experiences and feelings at your own pace in a warm, non-judgmental space can be beneficial during times of change, difficulty or loss.

Through person-centred, non-directive talking therapy, I can provide an opportunity for you to safely explore your concerns and emotions freely and openly. I will listen with empathic acceptance and try to understand how things are for you. This therapeutic process can lead to greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and to finding ways to progress that you feel comfortable with.

Through my experience as a placement counsellor in a medical centre, I have repeatedly seen how calm, empathic therapeutic connection can prove invaluable during times of challenge.

I work with:

• Anxiety

• Depression

• Stress

• Bereavement - I have undertaken specialist bereavement training

• Miscarriage - I have 10 years of experience of charitable support work with bereaved parents and have completed SANDS training for counsellors

• Losses experienced through changes of circumstances e.g. retirement, menopause, redundancy, relationships, changes in health or of future plans

• Low self-esteem

• Personal development work - including for students of counselling

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor, an accredited registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Acc.) and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MÍø±¬ÃÅ). I hold an Enhanced DBS check.

I am also affiliated with True North Collective, an organisation committed to making mental health support accessible to all members of our community.
