About me and my therapy practice

Welcome.

My name is Chloe and I would like to support you in your journey to living a more fulfilled life. I believe that therapy can allow us the time and space to help reflect and understand ourselves better. This in turn helps us to facilitate personal growth, limit internal conflict and reduce anxiety.

Research has shown that the basis for a successful outcome in therapy is a good therapeutic relationship, and so building a strong working alliance is something I prioritise in sessions. Working collaboratively, I aim to help you reflect on what is coming up for you in our sessions. We are often carrying beliefs about ourselves from childhood, which can be impacting our happiness in the present. Most of us rely on defence mechanisms to temporarily manage difficult emotions. The aim is to help you reflect on these unhelpful coping strategies that no longer serve you and to support you in navigating new healthy ways of enjoying life and relationships.

As an integrative therapist, I am of the belief that there is no single approach to therapy that works for everyone. I draw on different modalities such as psychodynamic theories, TA & Person Centered therapy to help you look at your life through a different lens. I am particularly interested in exploring how your early relationships & experiences have shaped your understanding of present relationships with yourself and others.
