About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Alina and I am a fully qualified BCPC and Íø±¬ÃÅ registered Psychotherapeutic Counselor. Through my work with various organisations and private clients, I have had the privilege of supporting people from all walks of life in their journey toward healing and self-discovery.
I believe that who we are today is shaped by our life experiences, relationships, and the stories we carry within us. These experiences affect not just our minds, but our whole being - how we feel physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Most importantly, they influence how we see ourselves and our worth in the world.
When you come to therapy with me, you will find a warm, safe space where you can be completely yourself. This is not about textbook solutions - but about real, honest conversations and genuine connection. I am here to walk alongside you, creating a trusted partnership where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
My own life journey has been a catalyst for profound change and growth, giving me deep insight into the full gamut of human emotions - from deep loneliness and isolation to joy, from navigating dysfunctional relationships to building healthy ones, from struggling with negative self-image and lack of self-trust to finding inner strength and wisdom.
This personal understanding, enriched by my experiences across diverse cultures and as a person from an ethnic minority background, fuels my deep commitment to supporting others as they navigate their own unique paths with compassion and authenticity.
Practice description
As a humanistic, integrative, and psychodynamic counsellor, I provide a warm, supportive, and dynamic space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and life challenges with honesty and self-compassion. My approach is direct, fast-paced, and engaging, encouraging deep self-reflection and meaningful change. Therapy with me is real and honest; a trusted partnership where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual, balancing deep exploration with practical strategies for change. Therapy should be flexible and responsive to your needs, whether you seek short-term guidance or longer-term support.
My first session
In our first session, we will discuss the counselling assessment, your goals, and expectations, as well as your past experiences with therapy. To support our work, I use the ACES and DASS questionnaires, which we will complete together. These tools can help track your progress, offering a meaningful way to reflect on the changes and growth achieved throughout therapy.
