About me and my therapy practice
Hello! I'm Zaharin, also known as Zah, a Íø±¬ÃÅ registered integrative counsellor offering a warm and supportive space for you to explore your challenges. I am here to listen, really listen without judgment, whether you are struggling with low mood, anxiety, work difficulties, or simply seeking self-understanding.
My own journey through therapy has been deeply reflective and a real eye-opener. Before therapy, I struggled to understand, express my emotions, or ask for support, especially during tough times. It felt overwhelming at first as I was gaining insights about myself, but as I became more self aware, I found it easier to navigate those emotions and practice self-compassion. I want to pass on that same empathy and understanding to my clients, just as my therapists did for me during my journey.
I am passionate about creating an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone, regardless of background, culture, or identity.
Practice description
My integrative approach means I draw from various counselling techniques to tailor our sessions to your unique needs.
I mostly default to talking therapy, but if you are not someone who initially expresses emotions through words, I can also tailor my sessions to incorporate creative methods such as art, songs, poetry, and writing. I am here to facilitate you to process your emotions in whichever way works for you.
We will work collaboratively to understand the root of your challenges and develop strategies for navigating them. I believe in empowering you to find your own solutions and build resilience at your own pace.
My first session
Taking that first step and reaching out can be daunting, so I offer a free initial phone/google meets consultation. This allows us to connect, discuss what you hope to gain from counselling, and ensure we are the right fit for each other.
If you decide you would like to work with me after our chat, I will guide you through the initial stages of therapy.
