About me and my therapy practice
Hello there, I am Ester.
I am a professionally trained and Íø±¬ÃÅ registered Counsellor and Therapist, offering weekly counselling sessions for adults on a long, medium or short-term basis in Central London (London Bridge & Southwark) and online.
I can help and support you in difficult moments, offering a warm, welcoming and safe space that is only yours. You will feel understood, accepted and listened to. Able to find more clarity and strength in yourself.
Although I am trained in Psychosynthesis, like the majority of counsellors today, I work with a wide range of therapeutic approaches, individually tailored to my clients’ needs. It’s my skills and intuition I use most. I listen carefully to what is being said and look beyond words to truly understand a person’s presence in their space.
Please contact me by email or phone number provided, and we can then arrange a FREE consultation/ initial meeting to get to know each other and find out whether the support I offer would be useful to you.
Practice description
I see clients in person and online, or a combination of both.
My private practice is based in London Bridge, seconds from the rail station and 5 minute walk from the London Bridge underground. It is in a very convenient place, and the building has a lift for easy accessibility. The surroundings have an urban, professional feel, with an abundance of coffee bars where you can sit, relax, or grab a quick coffee or a bite to eat.
The room I practice in is private and quiet. It’s situated in a professional and secure building with access to refreshments and restrooms. There is also a lift for your convenience.
I also regularly see clients online. Wherever you are based in the UK or the world, I offer the opportunity to have secure, private 1:1 sessions online, either via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Online counselling is a very effective and convenient way to access therapy from the comfort of your home or your private space. This way of counselling breaks down the geographical barriers and gives easier access to therapy. I have been effectively counselling clients online for a number of years now. My clients regularly report the convenience of connecting online and the flexibility of appointments offered. However, I understand it is not for everyone, and some clients prefer more traditional, in-person counselling.
My first session
Please contact me via email/ phone number or
https://www.counsellingwithester.com/contact.
We will have a brief exchange and then schedule our initial session. During this initial meeting, I might ask you to tell me more about your background, certain issues and past and current difficulties to get a feel for where you are now and what you expect from counselling. Don’t worry if you don’t have a clear idea of what you expect, as we can figure that out together and move on with the idea that feels right for you now. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you might have, and to also see how you feel about working with me.
Most of my work is long-term and open-ended, which means that therapy will progress for as long as you feel necessary. From my experience, it takes time and willingness to get to the core of the issues. Along the way, we start finding solutions and ways of dealing with the situations that matter to you and that are affecting your daily life. Therapy is a process, leading to real changes and deeper transformations.
However, sometimes we go through some crisis or specific difficult events, when we need immediate help and support, for a shorter period. Please reach out to me, and we can discuss your needs and decide on the best way forward for you.
I usually suggest an initial commitment of at least 6 -8 sessions. Real changes require deep and meaningful work. Should the therapy progress for more than 6 sessions, we would do a regular review at periodic intervals to see where you at in your therapy journey.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and takes place weekly and at regular times. You will have allocated time that is only yours: same day, same time, every week.
If your needs are different, please let me know, and I will try to arrange sessions that are suitable for both of us.
It's important that therapy feels like an individual choice and commitment. The work can only be done if you truly want to do it, and it will be worth it.
