About me and my therapy practice
I am a compassionate and approachable therapist dedicated to supporting you through whatever challenges you may be facing. I work with a broad range of issues but have a particular interest and experience in helping clients navigate the intersections of trauma, different attachment styles, and neurodiversity and how they shape our adult relationships. This can include repeated relationship patterns, relational and educational trauma, anxiety, fear of abandonment/rejection sensitivity dysphoria and difficulty with boundaries.
I also integrate mindfulness-based interventions if suitable for the client, into the therapeutic process and use somatic approaches in my work. Both approaches focus on the mind and body’s experience of trauma and stress, recognising that unresolved trauma can be held in the body. This can affect both emotional and physical well-being, and I work with you to restore balanced, embodied living.
Alongside my private practice, I also work for a low cost counselling service based in St. Albans, and run mindfulness courses and facilitate focussed groupwork. My background also includes some years working within a variety of other settings including an educational setting, a bereavement charity, trauma service and family support service.
Life’s experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it’s not always easy to talk to those closest to us. You may feel stuck or unsure of how to move forward. I offer a confidential, respectful, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.
